January 26, 2009 at 6:54 pm EST | Tags: Clinical Trials, Start-Ups & VenturesTwo companies that we’ve profiled, one recently and one about a year ago, made some news today…
Trius Therapeutics
The company announced today that it completed enrolling for their randomized, double-blind Phase 2 trial meant to test a novel 2nd generation linezolid (brand name Zyvox). The complicated skin and skin structure infection (cSSSI) study tested 3 different doses over 5-7 days of therapy.
Trius said top-line results should be released in 2Q09.
We profiled Trius back in March 2008. We remain bullish on this one. [ClinicaSpace]
Selexys Pharmaceuticals
These guys look like they’re on track to get their phase 1 up and running. The company said today that they’ve selected a manufacturer for their P-selectin mAb. Selexys plans to move forward in Crohn’s disease. We profiled Selexys a few weeks back. Good luck guys. [PR Inside]
