SingulexSingulex closed a $19M financing round, led by JAFCO Co., Ltd. and supported by existing investors: OrbiMed Advisors and Fisk Ventures. The $19M will be used for the commercialization of Singulex’s technologies in the diagnostics/biomarker market. Singulex uses something called “Erenna” technology and immunoassays to help them better understand the effects of compounds early in development. The technology also allows for the detection and measurement of minute protein biomarker changes at very low levels, facilitating development of personalized medicines. We’ll be covering Singulex in greater detail in an upcoming company profile. FierceBiotech
