Solvay Makes Deals with Lipocine, HUYA; None with Sanofi or
Takeda (Yet)For a company getting ready to axe reps and sell their unit (supposedly), Solvay sure acts like it’s in growing mode — and it’s buggin’ us.

Today, Solvay announced two deals – one with China/San Diego-based HUYA Bioscience International and the other with Salt Lake City drug delivery company Lipocine. Solvay’s pharma biz signed an agreement for HUYA’s Chinese drug portfolio, with a focus on HUYA’s cardiovascular molecules.

Solvay also announced it finalized a license agreement with Utah-based Lipocine for the company’s oral formulation of testosterone, in development for treating male hypogonadism.

Details of either deal were not released, but we find it confusing that Solvay would still be doing deals while Abbott, Sanofi and Takeda are looking at their books.

Anyone from Morgan Stanley or Rothschild? Anything to add? Hmmm?
