  • Evotec’s investigational drug for smoking cessation, a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, fails in a Phase 2 proof-of-concept study. Iguana is Ok with this given that that there’s dozens of drugs for this!! [Yahoo!Finance]

  • FDA says no to Medicis’ Reloxin, a generic Botox. [Bloomberg]

  • SpePharm is after BioAlliance for $46M, claims wrongfully terminated Loramyc license. [FierceBiotech]

  • Amgen touts preclinical results of AMG-749, a fully human anti-IGF-1 monoclonal antibody that has demonstrated a reduction in pancreatic cancer cell growth. [Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News]

  • CEL-SCI sends letters to shareholders discussing Dendreon’s success, hopes to jump-start stock up from two dimes and nickel. Letter not so effective. [Yahoo!Finance]

  • Finally, Johnson & Johnson’s first-quarter net income slipped 2.5% as a stronger dollar ate into foreign sales and Zyrtec went generic. [WSJ]
