It looks GSK is
next in line to eat
their own as the company readies to axe 6,000 employees.
The Financial Times is reporting however, that the real number could be as high as 10,000 (or about 10% of GSK’s total workforce) with the U.S. being the hardest hit.
Damn.
CEO Andrew Witty has yet to make a comment, but we suspect to see some verbage like this:
“We are grateful to our employees - particularly our scientists, sales reps and middle management – who have worked so hard to make and sell our drugs over the last several years. These are hard times, and executive management can not, I repeat CAN NOT live without their bonuses and luxury business trips. Therefore, to keep our stock at a decent price and to keep investors from dumping all their shares and having our asses handed to us, we must flush your jobs down the toilet. Please don’t clog the drain on your way down.”
Or something like that…
