• Intellikine Inc. has raised $28.5 million from Novartis Bioventures Ltd., U.S. Venture Partners, Biogen Idec and FinTech Global Capital. • Allostera Pharma announced this week a Series A financing of $17 million (Canadian dollars) with funds from iNovia Capital, Genesys Capital, BDC Venture Capital with GO Capital, and Fonds Bio-Innovation s.e.c. The cash will be used to develop the company’s Allosteramers(TM), a new class of drugs that are both highly specific for their targets and designed to be orally bioavailable, and to advance lead product APG2305 for treating autoimmune diseases. • Finally, Presidio Pharmaceuticals Inc. announced the closing of a financing round of $27 million bringing the total raised to $54.5 million. The funds raised will be used to advance Presidio’s HCV (Heptatitis C) NS5A clinical candidate through clinical studies, and to support the development of other programs in the pipeline. Investors included New Leaf Venture Partners, Panorama Capital, Baker Brothers Investments, Ventures West Capital, Bay City Capital, Nexus Medical Partners and Sagamore BioVentures.
