European IPOs on the Way

There’s a light at the end of
the tunnel. It seems like struggling European biotechs might be able to catch a break and see some liquidity for investors this year. And, analysts seem optimistic.
Based on the latest string of acquisitions and the easing of the economy, the IPO market might be opening up.
According to Reuters, Addex Pharmaceuticals was the last healthcare company to get listed on the Swiss exchange and that was back in 2007!
Some of the up-and-comers which are rumored for a European IPO include:
Nycomed
Clinuvel
NovImmune
GlycoVaxyn
Carmen Tang, fund managerat Pictet which has assets of $1.7 billion, says:
“In the last two months we saw that a window kind of opened up and a lot of good companies with good assets were successfully able to raise money.”
Nycomed??? No licensing deal for Daxas I guess…
