Good news
continues with Dendreon (DNDN). One week after announcing positive Provenge data at AUA, and close to one month after it made history, Dendreon is preparing its expansion.
The Seattle-based company said today that it is looking to hire 60 people to add to its 198 as it prepares to advance the Provenge launch (or partnering process?). Here’s the breakdown of the spots:
Headquarters – 37 spots
Manufacturing Plant (Morris Plains, NJ) – 22 spots
Supplier Coordinator (Research Triangle Park, NC) – 1 spot
All the jobs are posted here, and include positions in quality assurance and quality control, finance, marketing, human resources, and logistics.
DNDN is also planning to raise cash to finance the manufacturing, marketing, and IT infrastructure it will need to market Provenge, according to the company’s filing with the SEC. DNDN did not state how much it plans to raise. The company finished the quarter with $91M in cash, an amount it said will “not be sufficient” as it moves Provenge forward toward filing amendment, and possible approval.
