Wow! It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a daily roundup. Who out there misses the good ol days of layoffs and CEO babble? We kinda do, but we don’t wanna be jerks about it. I mean, what would we write about if the economy wasn’t in a big mess?

Well, let’s see what else happened today:

*Johnson & Johnson have a new approach to drug development. Novel? [FierceBioresearcher]

*ImmuPharma gets $30M upfront from Cephalon for a novel lupus drug. [Yahoo!Finance]

*GenVec also struggling – fires 22 employees. [FierceBiotech]

*Astellas sticks nose in the air, not THAT excited to go after CV Therapeutics. Snobs! [Forbes]

*AVI Biopharma sells more stock as it tries to finance its ebola antisense program. ehhh? [Xconomy]

Let’s see what happens on Tuesday…
