BREAKING: Glaxo Set to Announce Stiefel Acquisition, $3 Billion DealThe WSJ is reporting that GlaxoSmithKline is close to completing a deal to acquire Stiefel Laboratories for about $3B. The deal for the dermatology company, which is partly-owned by private equity giant Blackstone Group, is expected to be announced Monday although the deal could still fall apart.

Stiefel announced last month they were interested in selling, but the company has refused to comment on any rumors or buyout speculations.
