BB BIOTECH VENTURES Closes $95 Million Fund

VENTURES Closes $100M FundHealthcare venture capital firm BB BIOTECH VENTURES (B3V) has closed its third fund, BB BIOTECH VENTURES III, L.P. with committed capital of EUR 67.5 million ($ 94.8 million USD). The fund was raised from a number of undisclosed investors, including pension funds, institutional asset manager, family offices, and private individuals.

Some of B3V’s portfolio companies include Alpex Pharma, Anteis, Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Cervelo Pharmaceuticals, Lumavita, Optimer Pharmaceuticals and Tioga Pharmaceuticals.

B3V is part of the Bellevue Group (SWX: BBN), a Swiss investment bank and asset management firm that has raised and invested more than USD $500 million in venture capital.
