Atlas Ventures Closes $283M Fund…

Jeeees, this is what happens when we leave for a few days. Atlas has gone and raised a decent size fund of $283M. Limited partners/investors include Kisco Management, The Kresge Foundation, Paul Capital, Franklin Park, Industriens Pensionsforsikring A/S and Meketa Investment Group.

Though there was some shake-up with the IT people, there’s no word on what portion of the fund will be allocated to life sciences.

  1. Inside Word says:

It is clear that Atlas’ new fund will be more life science-oriented. The firm cut four tech partners (not two) and moved two tech partners to venture partner status, while adding a new life science partner. Look for Atlas’ new fund to be 50+% life science – going the way of Flagship….
