ASCO is almost over, but the data doesn’t stop. Here’s the latest updates from around the web…all nice and itemized for you guys. :)

  • The WSJ just can’t get enough PARP inhibitors. [WSJ Health Blog]

  • ZIOPHARM Oncology (ZIOP) presented positive data from both Phase II intravenous (IV) and Phase I oral studies of darinaparsin (Zinapar, ZIO-101), the company’s novel organic arsenic molecule. [Yahoo!Finance]

  • Enzon Pharmaceuticals (ENZN) says its HIF-1 alpha antagonist, EZN-2968, was well tolerated, and showed early signs of clinical benefit and prolonged stable disease in several patients. [Yahoo!Finance]

  • Genentech confirmed its C-08 study results over the weekend, stating that adding Avastin to chemotherapy for one year did not result in a statistically significant improvement in overall disease-free survival (DFS), the primary endpoint, compared to chemotherapy alone after surgery in patients with early-stage (adjuvant) colon cancer.   • ArQule (ARQL) presented data on its c-MET Inhibitor, ARQ 197. [Yahoo!Finance]

  • Merck Serono presented positive data on its first-in-class integrin inhibitor, cilengitide, showing that it can extend overall survival for patients with glioblastoma multiforme. [PharmaTimes]

  • AEterna Zentaris (AEZS) presented results on its targeted cytotoxic peptide conjugate compound, AEZS-108 (formerly AN-152), in prostate cancer. [Yahoo!Finance]

  • EntreMed (ENMD) presented clinical data for its Aurora A/angiogenic kinase inhibitor, ENMD-2076. [Yahoo!Finance]

  • Micromet (MITI) touted positive response data from a clinical trial using its anti-EpCAM human antibody adecatumumab (MT201) in combination with docetaxel in patients with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). [Yahoo!Finance]

  • Trubion Pharmaceuticals (TRBN) presented data on TRU-016, an anti-CD37 Small Modular ImmunoPharmaceutical (SMIP), in heavily pre-treated patients with high-risk genomic factors and relapsed or refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). [Yahoo!Finance]

  • Isis Pharmaceuticals (ISIS) had four presentations from three of its drugs, including results from a Phase 2 study of OGX-011 in patients with advanced metastatic prostate cancer and Phase 1 study of OGX-427 in patients with a variety of cancers. [Yahoo!Finance]

  • YM BioSciences (YMI) presented results from a randomized trial of nimotuzumab (BIOMAb/TheraCIM/h-R3) in patients with inoperable, locoregionally advanced Stage III/IVa head and neck cancer. [Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News]

  • ChemGenex Pharmaceuticals (ASX:CXS) continued its dominance as it presented results from its pivotal study of omacetaxine in patients with T315I-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). [Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News]

  • Antigenics (AGEN) soared after presenting positive Oncophage® (vitespen) interim survival data. [Pharmalive]

  • Finally, Genta (GNTA.OB) presented more data on Tesetaxel, its oral taxane licensed from Daiichi-Sankyo. [Yahoo!Finance]
